#t187. 忽略大小写的字符串比较

忽略大小写的字符串比较

Case-Insensitive String Comparison

Problem Description

Normally we use strcmp to compare two strings: characters are compared one by one from front to back (by their ASCII values) until a differing character is found or the end of string ('\0') is reached. If all characters are the same, the two strings are considered equal. If a differing character is found, the result is determined by the first differing character (note: if one string reaches '\0' while the other has not, the former is considered smaller).

Sometimes, however, we want to ignore the case of letters when comparing strings — for example, "Hello" and "hello" should be considered equal under a case-insensitive comparison. Write a program that compares two strings ignoring letter case.

Input Format

Two lines, each containing one string; a total of two strings. (Each string has length less than 80.)

Output Format

  • If the first string is smaller than the second, output the character <.
  • If the first string is greater than the second, output the character >.
  • If the two strings are equal, output the character =.

Sample Input 1

Hello, how are you?
hello, How are you?

Sample Output 1

=

Sample Input 2

abcd
efgh

Sample Output 2

<

Constraints

Each string has length less than 80.
